As the Rector, Fr Jonathan has cure of souls over everyone who lives in these villages, and not just those who come to church regularly. It is a rather peculiar phrase to modern ears, but what it basically means is that he has a duty of care to everyone who lives in these parishes. He may be contacted directly by email or phone (07799 271913). For safeguarding concerns (more below), please visit out dedicated page.
House and Hospital Visits
Fr Jonathan and the pastoral team are able to visit those who are unable to attend public worship. You may receive communion at home or hospital; or you might want someone to pray for you. We are also happy just to visit and have a chat.
Confessions
If you would like Fr Jonathan to hear your confession, please contact him directly. For more information about confessions, please visit our dedicated page here.
House Blessings
You may want to have your house blessed, whether this is because you have just moved in, or because of some negative experiences associated with the house, or because it’s part of an annual tradition, such as during Epiphanytide. Fr Jonathan is happy to come and bless your home at any time of year.
Reporting Concerns
This Benefice is committed to creating a safe place where all people—and especially children and vulnerable adults—can flourish. There is a dedicated page on safeguarding, where more information may be found about what to do if you are concerned.
Other Pastoral and Practical Help
If there is anything else that you think the church might be able to help with, including practical aid (e.g., with transport, shopping), please do not hesitate to contact us.
